HIMYM: Robin Scherbatsky can't get pregnant, but should she tell everyone?

In the recent How I Met Your Mother, Robin goes to the gynecologist after being a week late in getting her period. She believes she is pregnant and only tells Barney because it could only be his baby.  At the gynecologist, she learns she isn't pregnant, but also finds out she can't have babies. 

The gynecologist tells her to talk about it with either her family or friends, but instead she chooses to keep it to herself. Did she make the right decision?
